Baseline Tote Bag: Tester Takes on this Easy Quilted Bag

Two amazing quilters tested the Baseline Tote Bag pattern for me. First, Melissa David of Quilting Above the Clouds made this gorgeous Baseline Tote Bag using a scrappy mix of Art Gallery Fabrics. To keep the bag looking cohesive, Melissa alternated blue and orange fabrics.

Melissa also added a strap with a clip on the end and a D-ring to which she can clip her keys, wallet, pouches, and more so they don’t get lost in the bag. I love this idea so much!

Lisa Fuller of Millie and Bun Designs made this Baseline Tote Bag using yellow and white seersucker fabric form her stash. Doesn’t it scream summertime in Norway? I can feel the sunshine on my face now.

Lisa planned to use this tote bag to carry her knitting and it’s the perfect size for it. You can easily fit a knitted sweater and several balls of yarn, plus knitting needles, in this bag, with room to spare.

Thank you so much to Lisa and Melissa for testing this bag pattern for me! I hope their makes inspire some ideas for you. Happy sewing!
